Ranunculus - Light pink - Wind-Resistant Structure for Exposed Sites - Bulbs - Large Pack - 100 pcs

In sunlight, the delicate petals of the light pink ranunculus bring a gentle brightness to the garden, creating a subtly romantic atmosphere. This plant is ideal for adding fresh, refined accents that last throughout its flowering season.

Preparation for planting

Before planting, soak the bulbs in lukewarm water for 3–4 hours to encourage growth. It is best to select bulbs that are firm and show no visible signs of damage.

Planting time

Ranunculus should be planted outdoors from April to May or in autumn from September to October. For containers, bulbs can be planted between February and April, allowing you to enjoy blooms as early as May.

Planting depth

Plant the bulbs at a depth of 5–7 cm, with the claws facing downwards.

Planting spacing

Space bulbs 15–20 cm apart to ensure healthy development.

Site and soil

The best results are achieved in a sunny or lightly shaded spot with fertile, well-drained, moderately moist soil. For container cultivation, use a universal potting mix with added compost or peat, and ensure a drainage layer at the bottom.

Care

Ranunculus requires moderate watering to keep the soil slightly moist. During growth and flowering, feed with a fertiliser for flowering plants every 10–14 days. Removing faded flowers extends the blooming period. Rotate containers regularly so the plants grow evenly.

Height

Plants reach a height of 30–35 cm, making them suitable for both borders and containers.

Flowering period

In the ground, flowers appear from June to August. When grown in containers and planted earlier, blooms can be enjoyed from May. Flowering lasts several weeks, with light pink blooms retaining their freshness throughout the summer.

Winter hardiness

Light pink ranunculus is not winter hardy in the ground. Once the leaves have dried, bulbs should be lifted, cleaned and dried. Store them in a dry, cool, well-ventilated place at 5–10°C. For containers, overwinter indoors and reduce watering to a minimum.

Uses

Light pink ranunculus is perfect for borders, rock gardens, flower groupings, and containers on balconies or terraces. It remains fresh for a long time as a cut flower, and its gentle shade complements both pastel and more vibrant garden plants.
