The 'Olenka' pepper belongs to the exceptionally productive tomato-shaped sweet peppers. Its beautifully shaped fruit take on a deep red colour and are covered with a shiny skin. This appetizing vegetable is recommended for growing on the field and in unheated greenhouses. The fruit of this pepper variety are round and flattened, ribbed and weigh 80 to 90 grams. Their thick, extremely juicy flesh is sweet, crunchy and delicious. As the fruit matures, its colour changes from dark green to deep saturated red. These intriguingly looking peppers are rich in vitamin C and minerals. The "Olenka" pepper bushes display moderate vigour, but they tend to spread broadly. The variety presented here brings health and rich crops.
Pepper is a thermophilic plant. The 'Olenka' variety is grown from seedlings. Sow the seeds in the first decade of January or the first decade of April, depending on the place of cultivation and the purpose. Pepper bushes are usually grown 40 x 50 x 40 cm apart. Plant them in the second decade of February or in the third decade of May. The harvest takes place from the third decade of April onwards. Plants planted at a later stage will develop fruit until the third decade of September. Peppers need a warm, sunny site with a rich, moisture retaining soil that is rich in organic matter.
The juicy and crunchy, 7 to 8 cm thick flesh of the 'Olenka' tomato peppers is a perfect vegetable that tastes best raw in sandwiches and salads. The compact size of the fruit allows to pickle it in vinegar or in herb-flavoured oil. The processing does not change the beautiful colour and sweetness of the fruit. Round peppers provide excellent material for filling and roasting. They will delight your guests with an appetizing appearance and excellent taste.
Each package contains 10 grams of the "Olenka" red pepper. The basic plant information, growing tips and the sow-by date were printed at the back of the package.
