Tomato 'Cytrynek Groniasty' is a unique variety that captivates with its intense yellow colour and abundant yield. Each cluster of this plant can produce up to 75 small, juicy tomatoes, making it an ideal choice for those seeking an impressive addition to their garden or balcony. This variety is characterised by continuous growth, necessitating support with stakes. It thrives in open ground as well as in unheated tunnels or containers on a balcony, delivering a full taste and colour throughout the summer.

Sowing

The 'Cytrynek Groniasty' tomato is best sown in specially prepared soil, ensuring proper drainage and light access. It is important to distribute the seeds evenly to promote uniform plant growth. Regular watering from the moment of sowing is crucial to provide optimal germination conditions.

Sowing Depth

The seeds of the 'Cytrynek Groniasty' tomato should be placed at a depth of approximately 0.5 cm. A gentle covering of soil will ensure adequate moisture and protection from the wind. This is a critical stage that requires precision to ensure healthy plant growth.

Sowing Period Under Cover

When should you sow 'Cytrynek Groniasty' tomato seeds under cover? The optimal time is March and April. This allows the plants to develop well before being transferred to their permanent place in the garden or on the balcony.

Planting Time

Tomatoes are best planted in May and June when weather conditions are stable and the risk of frost is minimal. This is the ideal time to give the plants the best start in the open air.

Plant Spacing

For optimal growth of 'Cytrynek Groniasty' tomatoes, a spacing of 80-100 cm between rows and 50-60 cm between plants is recommended. Such spacing allows for free air circulation and facilitates plant care.

Site Conditions

'Cytrynek Groniasty' tomatoes grow best in sunny locations, with access to fertile, well-drained soil. Regular watering, especially during dry periods, and fertilisation will support fruit development. Avoid shaded areas so that the plants can fully benefit from natural light.

Growing Tips

Growing 'Cytrynek Groniasty' tomatoes requires regular watering and fertilisation to ensure healthy growth and abundant yields. Plants should be supported to prevent heavy clusters from falling and to promote proper development. Regular removal of side shoots will help focus the plant's energy on fruiting. Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in cultivation minimises the risk of diseases.

Harvest Period

The harvest of 'Cytrynek Groniasty' tomatoes can begin from July and continue until September. The ripe fruits detach easily from the cluster, and their intense yellow colour is a sign of readiness for consumption. Regular harvesting encourages further fruiting.

The quality control process

All our seeds must pass a four-stage quality control process.

Stage one begins with a careful selection of the suppliers. Than we proceed with controlling their crops, foreign producers are not excluded from the quality control process. Plants are checked at every stage of their development: when they start to grow, during blooming and when they start bearing fruit (seeds). At this stage the most important thing is to ensure proper spacing of the plants. Thanks to that obtaining the desired morphological characteristics of each particular species or variety, such as colour, height and shape, can be ensured.

Stage two consists of a detailed verification tests in laboratory conditions. With the use of the highest quality equipment by the highly qualified staff, our suppliers perform more than 30 000 quality checks annually. The seeds that do not meet our requirements are subject to technological refining processes, including drying, cleaning, upgrading and testing again.

Stage three starts with sowing seeds in selected control plots. That way we obtain valuable, exact information concerning their germination that must be maintained at an appropriate level. Simultaneously, the varietal identity of each species is checked at this stage.

Stage four takes place in our warehouses and consists of eliminating seeds that have been stored for too long on our shelves and replacing them with new batches. Each package is stamped with a unique batch number and also with the sow-by-date.

All four stages combined allow us to state with confidence that the seeds we deliver comply with the highest standards and have completed all required control stages with flying colours.
