The Red Springgreen tulip is a variety that presents a nice combination of red and green. This attractive tulip has unmatched qualities when it comes to introducing a spring vibe to garden. It perfectly fills the gap between the varieties that flower in early spring and those who bear blooms at the end of the season. Each of the red flowers of the presented tulip is richly decorated with green stripes. Contrasting colours perfectly enhance the red base, making them flowers impossible to overlook among other garden inhabitants. Tulips offer a great company for many perennials and low-growing shrubs. These spring flowers fit equally well into home gardens and urban green areas. Due to their excellent durability and erect, sturdy stems, tulips are often used as cut flowers.

Viridiflora tulips, just like their all relatives, must be planted in autumn. A well-drained soil with humus content and a neutral reaction proves to be best for the cultivation of this species. The largest flowers in saturated colours form at sunny and semi-shaded locations. To help tulips maintain their flowering power, it is recommended to annually fertilize, dig out in summer, and transplant them to a different site.
