Squills are bulbous perennials that develop subtle flower heads surrounded by rosettes of green basal leaves. This rather undemanding plant will grow well in the majority of home gardens. This study plant is tolerant to various growing conditions. It develops tiny, yet very charming and ornamental flowers. They are bell-shaped at the beginning to turn into stars as they unfold. They take on subtle, pastel colours: various shades of blue, pale purple, pink and white. The flowering period begins already in early spring, in April and May. All squills look great around the shrubs and as undergrowth in small coppices. Squills spread rapidly, forming dense carpet beddings. When left untreated they quickly grow wild. We recommend to complement the spring borders with them in order to create marvellous colour compositions. These low growing plants are perfect for planting in containers and pots, allowing you to create unique, charming spring decorations.

Squill bulbs are intended for planting in autumn. They are recommended for light, fertile, sufficiently humid soils. They prefer soils enriched with organic fertilizers, such as fermented manure.  September and October is the perfect planting period. Plant the small bulbs 5-8 cm deep and 8-10 cm apart. These plants develop tremendously both in the sun and partial shade. They are fully resistant to frost and do not need to be excavated before the winter.

One package contains 10 squill bulbs - assorted flower colours. The bulbs are sized 6/7 cm.
