"Sweetheart" tulip is an exceptionally beautiful variety that produces slender flowers. They are creamy-yellow and each petal is additionally decorated with a white edge. Presented variety is categorized as low growing, as its height does not exceed 30 centimetres. The flowering period of this variety falls in early spring. Dazzling flowers of the "Sweetheart" tulip retain their great looks for a long time. This variety is a perfect fit for borders and flower borders. Tulips can also grow in planters on a balcony. A combination of light yellow flowers of the "Sweetheart" tulip with blue hyacinths and grape hyacinths allows you to create a classic, yet attractive composition.

Tulips grow best on sunny or partially shady situations. Plant tulip bulbs in autumn into fertile and permeable soil. An additional drainage layer is required in heavy, compact soils. Plant bulbs ten to fifteen centimetres deep and ten to twelve centimetres apart. Tulips winter well in the ground. You do not have to dig them out before the winter. Bulbs can stay several years at the same spot.

Excavate bulbs every three to four years after the leaves have dried. Clean bulbs and store them in a dry and well ventilated place. Plant them again on a new site in autumn.
