The “Tigrinia Blue” gloxinia (Sinningia speciosa) is a magnificent variety that produces outstanding, speckled blooms. These plants develop a compact, 20 – 30 cm tall habit. Large, bell-shaped flowers grow over a rosette of large, hairy leaves. Velvety, white-blue blooms appear in large numbers from May to August. This abundantly blooming plant will quickly become a spectacular ornament in your living room or on your windowsill. You may also grow it in outdoor pots that adorn your garden, balcony, or terrace.

Gloxinia, sometimes commonly referred to as Canterbury bells, is a thermophilic plant that grows best in warm, partially shady sites.

Plant it in a fertile and permeable soil and water sparsely, as the tubers are sensitive to waterlogging. Gloxinia tubers should be planted early in spring 5 cm deep, 20 cm apart. These plants are extremely sensitive to low temperatures and can only be transplanted outside in the second half of May. Tubers need to be excavated before the winter. Plants grown indoors need to be put into dormancy stage after the flowers have wilted. In order to do that you need to dry the tubers and plant them in spring in fresh soil.

One package contains 10 pcs of premium quality tubers sized 6/+ cm.
