Trailing Viola is a rampant annual plant that grows 20 to 35 centimetres in height. Its long shoots are trailing, while the slight yellow flowers begin to grow two months after the seeds have started germinating. Trailing Viola is an attractive plant which is highly recommended to be grown in flower beds or in balcony planters. Despite its annual life cycle, this variety can also be cultivated as a biennial plant.
Growing: sow the seeds from March to mid-April, or under cover, from July to August. Plant it out into a permanent position in 20-25cm spacings in May or in August, depending on when the seeds have been sown. This variety requires relatively moist fertile soils in sunny positions.
