The Robert Griesbach tree lily (Lilium OT), whose XXL bulbs we offer here, is an exceptionally beautiful orienpet hybrid that is both vigorous and easy to grow. It develops a stiff, 150 to 200 cm tall stem that is covered with narrow, shiny, dark green leaves. The flowers still remain the most valuable asset of this variety. These large, six petal, open, cup shaped blooms are the true flower bed gems. Their thick petals are white with a broad ruby red strip running through the middle and a golden spot inside at the bottom. Each plant develops several buds that adorn the garden from July to the end of August after unfolding.

The Robert Griesbach tree lily should be grown on an open, sunny or only partially shady site. This perennial prefers moist, yet not waterlogging soil, hence we recommend to put a handful of soil mixed with coarse gravel under each bulb. The soil should also be enriched with compost. Treated that way, the plant will maintain the excellent health and impeccable beauty for years.
