Tree lilies are hybrids bred by crossing of trumpet and oriental lilies. This group, called orienpet (OT) unites the best features of both species. Magnificent, large, and colourful flowers remain decorative for a long time thanks to the resistance of the plants to low temperatures, diseases, and pests. Tree lilies produce stiff, strong shoots covered with lanceolate, bright green leaves. They fully deserve their name, as they outgrow the vast majority of garden flowering plants. Their lush inflorescences usually consist of ten to fifteen flowers that measure fifteen to twenty-five centimetres in diameter. Tree lily flowers take on a wide range of colours. Their colouring may be uniform, yet many varieties produce bicolour or even tricolour flowers, additionally decorated with large, staining anthers. The pleasant lily aroma is excreted by the anthers. A group of tree lilies guarantees a spectacular and surprising result. The versatility of these flowers allows you to grow them in a wide variety of garden styles. They can be combined with a range of flowering and leaf perennials, as well as ornamental grasses.

Amazing tree lilies belong to undemanding plants. We recommend planting them in sunny, quiet positions. They require rich, moist soil that is rich in humus, but they would survive lesser types of soil too. Those vigorously growing plants need regular fertilization, preferably with the organic fertilizers, as well as mulching and watering in times of drought. This hardy plant requires covering before the winter only in colder regions and during snowless winters.
