The Tuberosa loosestrife is a delightful perennial that loves warm and sunny places. Its stiff, mostly unbranched shoots end with flower umbels and emerge from thickened roots. Lanceolate leaves are arranged in more or less dense whorls around the stem. The colour of the flowers is bright orange, which gives the plant a phenomenal charm. It reaches the peak of its flowering period from June to August. The target plant height varies from 60 to 90 centimetres. Tuberosa loosestrife is a melliferous plant that produces large amounts of food for butterflies, bees, bumblebees, and other insects. When the flowers die, they are replaced by fruit, the centre of which is filled with a silky cotton-like fluff with seeds.

Growing tuberosa loosestrife is not difficult. Plant it from April to June, at a depth of 5 cm, and 30 to 50 centimetres apart. Presented perennial prefers well-drained sandy loam soils. It requires standard gardening care. The most abundantly flowering plants may require supports. Tuberosa loosestrife does not tolerate excess moisture in the soil, so it is recommended to plant it at a well-drained or slightly sloping place. In winter, the site should be covered with a fairly thick layer of mulch that insulates the plant against frost.

We hereby offer 10 root seedling of the Tuberosa loosestrife. Basic plant information and growing instructions can be found on the product label.
