The yellow-orange 'Batalinii Bright Gem' tulips are like sun on a cloudy day. This excellent creation of the Mother Nature fits not only into gardens. A box filled with the low growing, cheerful tulips will bring joy to all balcony owners. Their sunny colour contrasts with green rosettes of basal leaves and brings life to flower bed edgings. The only 12 to 15 centimetres tall 'Bright Gem' opens its flowers widely on sunny days and therefore splendidly presents its splendid colours. Tulips of this particular variety prove to be an excellent lawn, rock garden and border decoration. It looks spectacular under the late perennials, such as roses or lower growing shrubs. Sweet, light tulips will also adorn pots and baskets. Cut them anytime you wish to create a small, cheerful bouquet. This variety provides excellent and sturdy cut flowers.

A botanical tulip is easy to grow. It likes sunny situations. Its soil requirements are limited to permeability and moderate humidity. The bulbs of the 'Batalinii Bright Gem' tulip should be planted in autumn, possibly in September and October. Plant them the triple height of a bulb deep and circa 8 cm apart.  The bulbs do not need to be excavated, they will grow on one site for years. Tulip tufts will spread every year thanks to the developing bulbils. The transplanting and dividing should take place after the leaves dry, end of June and at the beginning of July. Dry the excavated bulbs and store them in an airy place until the planting in autumn.

One package contains 250 bulbs of the 'Batalinii Bright Gem' tulip, sized 6/7 cm in circumference. The basic plant growing instructions is printed on the packaging label.
