Tulips belong to the most commonly grown bulb flowering plants. They produce striking blooms that come in almost complete colour palette. In addition to that they are also easy in cultivation. You should definitely turn your attention to the Blue variety belonging to the Triumph category. It grows up to 50 cm tall and develops large, conical flowers that consist of deeply blue, sapphire petals. They adorn our gardens in spring, in April and May, when nature comes to life. This variety is easy in cultivation and could be easily naturalized. We recommend to plant it on mixed perennial borders or lawns together with other tulip varieties, such as Rose, Don Quichotte, Yellow or Flaming Flag.
Start the culture in autumn with planting of the bulbs 12 cm deep and 12 cm apart in the soil. Choose sunny or partially shady, warm sites with fertile, moderately moist and permeable soil. Blue tulips show rather high resistance to frost, but we recommend to cover them during the winter.
The presented tulips of the 'Blue' variety take on various colour shades that are most similar to blue. They will never be clean blue, though. Their colouring will stretch from shades of purple, through crimson or pink.
One package contains 250 bulbs of the 'Blue' tulip sized 12/14 cm. Their Dutch origin guarantees their highest possible quality.
