The Purple Cup and Saucer Vine is an outstanding annual vine; it can grow up to 10 metres in height. Being a fine example of a trailing plant, this variety flowers from July to October and can be used in many different ways. To describe this gorgeous variety shortly, the Purple Cup and Saucer Vine is a fine ornamental plant which is predominantly used for cascading over arbours, walls, garden trellis, porches or balconies.
Growing: sow the seeds in covered pots from February to March. The seeds germinate in 14 to 21 days at 18-22°C. Plant out into a permanent position in 40cm spacings in May. The plants require moist fertile clay-humus soils in sunny or semi-shaded positions.
