The 'City of Vancouver' tulip is an excellent variety intended for growing on perennial flower beds and lawns. It also supplies excellent cut flowers that are widely used in floristry, particularly for wedding bouquets. It develops large, medium long flowers that consist of creamy-white petals that are adorned in the middle with pastel yellow stripes. It grows about 50 centimetres tall and blooms in spring, in May. We recommend to combine it on flower beds with other tulip varieties in contrasting colours, such as the red 'Ile de France', crimson 'Jan Reus', fuchsia-pink 'Purple Prince' or the almost black 'Queen of the Night'.
The cultivation of tulips is easy and even a beginning gardener will easily master it. Plant the bulbs in autumn about 12 centimetres deep. Set the plants twelve to fifteen centimetres apart. The 'City of Vancouver' tulip is resistant to frost, but we recommend to cover it with mulch or conifer twigs before the winter.
One package contains 50 bulbs of the 'City of Vancouver' tulip, sized 11/12 cm. Their Dutch origin guarantees their highest possible quality.
