The Hermitage tulip is a wonderful resistant variety that produces thick stems and large flowers. The fluidly changing colour shades on its petal make it plant worthy growing in the showcase spots in the garden. The tangerine-orange background is covered with a red-purple flame pattern. This energetic colour combination is the trademark of the Hermitage tulip that is clearly visible on flower beds and lawns. Broad cups that appear in spring on the relatively short shoots are also perfectly suited for growing in planters and boxes and using as cut flower in bouquets. The subtle fragrance of the flowers proves to be exceptionally nice when the blooms are used in bouquets.

A tulip does not belong to demanding plant species. It thrives in home gardens. The only thing it unconditionally requires is sunlight - its flowers grow small and meagre in the shade. Tulips grow best in a permeable, well tilled soil that has been enriched with compost. Make sure to prepare the right drainage layer under your flower bed beforehand to protect tulip bulbs from rotting. Tulips are usually planted in autumn - the bulbs must endure a cold period. Plant tulips in groups that would form colourful patches. Tulip is a species that offers huge arrangement possibilities in the garden. It is a great fit for flower beds, borders, lawns, pot and basket arrangements, as well as planting alongside paths and roads.
