The Akebono tulip is a sunny variety with Japanese origin. Its large, double, light-coloured cups enriched with green accents, rise over the ground on medium-tall stems. The romantic appearance of those flowers is emphasized by thin red petal edges. Akebono is considered a collector's variety, perfect for people who like multi-coloured, rich flowers. This stunning tulip should be planted in large groups at flower beds and lawns, at borders, or lined up at the entrance to the house. Presented tulip flowers in May and remains ornamental when cut and arranged in bouquets and other festive decorations.

Per the rule of thumb, tulip bulbs are planted ten to twelve centimetres deep and twelve to fifteen centimetres apart, with September and October being the optimal period for this activity. These popular flowers like well-drained, light, moderately moist, thoroughly cultivated soil. Weed the site and enrich it with an organic fertilizer shortly before the planting to provide plants with all the needed nutrients. Tulip care consists of systematic watering, fertilizing, and weeding. Topping - removing wilted flowers - is also considered a good practice. Tulips are hardy enough to winter in the ground, yet you can dig out the bulbs in summer, dry them, and plant again in autumn.

Each package contains five bulbs of the Akebono tulip, sized 11/12 centimetres in circumference. Basic plant facts and growing instructions were printed on the package label.
