Red Beauty tulip is a tribute to nature. It is low growing, modest, yet beautiful. Its red star-shaped flowers could not be more different from the traditional Dutch varieties that are usually sought after by the growers. This stunning botanical tulip broadly opens its petals in the sunlight, exposing the inner yellow eye. The stunningly simple yet deeply coloured flower perfectly fits into rock gardens. It looks good in a pot, on a border, or a natural embankment. Its narrow leaves that shoot from the bulb only add to its undeniable charm.

Botanical tulips do not pose any cultivation problems. It likes to grow on sunny situations. Its soil requirements are limited to permeability and moderate humidity of the ground. Bulbs of the Red Beauty tulip should be planted in autumn, preferably in September and October. Planting depth should equal triple the height of a bulb, and planting distance about eight to twelve centimetres.  Place the bulb with its "foot" down, cover with soil, press it firmly and water. It is recommended to spread a layer of mulch over the bulbs before the winter. It will protect them from freezing, reduce the growth of weeds and drying of the soil. This care measure is not mandatory, yet recommended. You do not have to excavate botanical tulip bulbs every season. They can stay on one site for many years. Tulip groupings spread every year thanks to the new bulbils. Transplanting and dividing them should occur after the leaves have wilted, end of June and beginning of July. Dry the excavated bulbs slightly and store them in well ventilated room until the next planting in autumn.

A single package contains 5 bulbs of the Red Beauty tulip, sized 6/8. Basic plant information and cultivation tips can be found on the product label.
