The Strong Gold tulip is a plant that supplies unmatched cut flowers. The characteristic, strong stem of this variety is sturdy and erect, hence can be nicely arranged in bouquets and other compositions. The flower of the Strong Gold tulip itself looks like a charming golden-yellow cup and consists of broad, soft petals. Their cheerful colour harmonizes with differently coloured flowers. It can be underscored by the various shades of orange and red or combined with a contrasting dark crimson or purple. Single, slender flower cups crown the 60 centimetres tall stems. Presented Strong Gold tulip belongs to Triumph group of varieties that is characterized by weather resistance and high durability after cutting.

Tulips belongs to plants that are easy to grow. They produce most flowers on sunny and partially shaded sites. Tulips prefer permeable, fertile soils that contain substantial amounts of nutrients. Tulip bulbs should not be planted in waterlogging, clay, and compact soil. They quickly rot in such conditions. Growing and taking care of tulips is easy. Feed them with a multicomponent fertilizer during the phase of intensive growth and water them in periods of drought.

Plant the bulbs in autumn, from September to November, keeping them 10 to 15 centimetres apart. Adjust planting depth to the size of the bulb. Put them at the depth that equals thrice their height. Water the spot moderately after pressing the soil tightly over the bulb. It is recommended to cover the site with straw or dry bark before the winter. Every three or four years, excavate the bulbs in June or July after the leaves have wilted. Store them, after drying and cleaning them of soil, in dry and ventilated boxes.
