The Taco tulip belongs to the botanical tulips that belong to the exceptionally ornamental Clusiana group. This charming, petite plant grows up to 20 cm tall and starts to bloom already at the end of March. Thanks to its modest size it fits into every flower bed and rock garden corner and is perfectly suited for pot cultivation. The variety that we offer here will definitely appeal to all lovers of contrasting arrangements. The red-golden, slender cup-shaped flowers develop atop the straight stems surrounded by the narrow, erect leaves. The carmine-red petals have brightly yellow edges. Yellow are also the centres of these enchanting flowers.

The Taco tulip blooms reliably and is easy to grow. The botanical varieties stand out with very early blooming period, hence they cannot be missed from a garden of a true tulip lover. These tiny, characteristic flowers like sunny and partially shady sites. They do not require any special kind of soil, a permeable soil that is rich in humus will suit them fine. The red-golden Taco tulip flowers might bring candle flames to mind and will enliven the flower bed arrangements that are dominated by white and blue flowering plants in the early spring. They will look great in compositions with squills, spring starflower, croci, grape hyacinths and other low growing tulips (e.g. the botanical varieties, such as Eastern Star, Lady Jane, Sheila, Tarda and Turkish Delight).
