Orange watermelon "Orangeglo" (Citrullus lanatus) belongs to the most valuable watermelon varieties, finally available on the market. This plant surprises us with large fruit weighing 5 to 7 kg and their delicious, sweet, juicy flesh in an unusual orange colour. The fruit are covered with dark green peel with paler stripes. One of the biggest advantages of this cultivar is resistance to lower temperatures and ability to develop fruit in colder climate. Therefore "Orangeglo" watermelon bears rich harvest both under covers and in the open field.
Spring is the optimal time for growing seedlings. Seeds need to be sown into pots or seeding trays, kept warm and regularly watered. Strong seedlings are transplanted to the target site mid-May. In order to provide the plants with energy needed for formation and development of large fruit, you should give them fertile, moist soil with stable water and air conditions. You would only need to loosen the soil thoroughly and mix it with a large portion of organic fertilizer. Watermelon cultivation site needs to be warm, sheltered and sunny. Delicious fruit that are rich in sugars and have a juicy orange flesh can be harvested in August and at the beginning of September.
Each package contains 1 g of "Orangeglo" watermelon seeds. Package information contains a growing guide and the sow-by date.
