The White Knight iris belongs to bearded irises. Plants of this variety unite class and elegance in its purest form. Their sophisticated form that is so characteristic for iris flowers adorns the plants at the end of spring and beginning of summer. Flowers that tower over the lower growing foliage display snow white petals with wavy edges. Golden fluffy stripes that protrude from the centre of a flower give it a unique, exotic charm. Lush, attractive tufts of grey-green, sword-shaped leaves, make this iris even more stylish. Iris germanica The White Knight variety grows 60 to 80 centimetres tall and 30 to 45 centimetres broad. The relatively large tufts of white, dazzling flowers wonderfully adorn borders and larger lawns. They will immediately attract attention of all onlookers. Irises look best in larger groups that would attract butterflies and bees. Irises are noble plants that have been painted by many famous artists. The White Knight cultivar offered here is a splendid variety that will brighten up the garden.

You can plant iris all season long, preferably in April, end of July and at the beginning of August. It is an undemanding species. It grows well in average garden soil that should also be quite dry. They like sunny parts of the garden, embankments, and sunny walls. A site in partial shade might slightly extend the flowering period. Maintenance of irises is limited to removing wilted flowers, watering if needed, weeding, and feeding with fertilizers adjusted to their needs.
