The "Harvey" hot chilli pepper is an early variety with elongated, cone-shaped light yellow fruit. It belongs to hot varieties intended for eating and processing directly after the harvest or making to preserves. Hot chilli peppers form a magnificent addition to sauces, pastes, fillings, stews and many other dishes. A savoury or hot note adds flavour and a new twist to ordinary dishes. Hot peppers perfectly complement meat dishes, but it also wonderfully enriches vegetarian fare. You can add flavour to olive oil, cheese and bread thanks to those peppers.
The seeds of the "Harvey" pepper should be sown in March onto seeding trays, no deeper than 0.5 cm. After the seedlings develop the first pair of leaves, you should prick them out to single pots sized 7-8 cm in diameter or onto seeding trays with 6-cm wide chambers. The well developed seedlings should be transplanted onto permanent site in the second half of May, 40 x 40 cm apart. The fruit is harvested from August to October.
Peppers require sunny and wind-sheltered sites, as well as a fertile, permeable and moderately moist soil that does not waterlog.
Each package contains 0.15 grams of seeds. The basic plant information, growing tips and the sow-by date were printed at the back of the package.
