The Alice Haslam bushy aster is a perennial plant that flowers in autumn. At that time, hundreds of small flowers appear atop the erect stems that are covered with small, elongated, greyish leaves. Those dark pink blooms with a yellow eye produce plenty of nectar on which numerous pollinators will feed. This plant has been highly valued by gardeners for centuries. Presented variety grows only 30 centimetres tall. We recommend to plant it as edging or as covering plant. The Alice Haslam cultivar can also grow in rock gardens, lower flower beds, and in pots or planters. Its dense bushes produce myriads of flowers from September to October, providing the garden with the last colour accent. The characteristic, deep colour of the flowers make this plant an ideal addition to natural, rural, and English gardens.

Bushy asters are easy to grow and belong to undemanding plants. They like permeable, humous, moderately moist to slightly dry soil. They require a sunny spot, yet could also bring plenty of joy in partial shade. Perennial asters belong to hardy plants and do not need covering before the winter. We recommend to transplant the asters every three to five years to rejuvenate the plants.

We hereby offer one root seedling of the Alice Haslam bushy aster. Basic plant information and growing instructions can be found on the product label.
