The Anneke bushy aster is a stunning variety that develops a compact growth form that ideally fits onto a border edging, rock garden, or a pot. This low growing, only 20 to 30 centimetres tall perennial adorns the space around it with its erect stems that are covered with small, dark green, lanceolate leaves and hold bright pink flowers. One of the largest assets of bushy asters is their flowering period - from September to November. At that time garden colours begin to fade and a touch of bright colouring could work wonders to revive it. Round, compact tufts constitute a wonderful decoration of home gardens, squares, and public spaces. Bushy asters grown in groups are a truly stunning site. They resemble a picturesque flowering carpet.

Bushy asters do not demand much attention. They will pay you back with a nice form and abundant flowering if you plant it at an appropriate place. Perennial asters should grow at sunny sites where they produce most flowers. This is not sine-qua-non requirement, though. If you have a partially shady spot, you can successfully grow asters there. Bushy aster likes humous, fertile soil with a neutral or alkaline reaction. We recommend to mulch and regularly weed aster sites. Aster plants will flower even more abundantly with compost and organic fertilization. They are resistant to water shortages and popular diseases and pests. Anneke bushy aster is a hardy plant that requires covering only in the first year of growing.

We hereby offer one root seedling of the Anneke bushy aster. Basic plant information and growing instructions can be found on the product label.
