The salmon pink "Bressingham Beauty" astilbe (Astilbe x arendsii) stands out from the related varieties with the gentle, pink inflorescences that show a hint of orange. The perennial offered here displays medium strong vigour and grows, depending on the fertility of soil 50 to 70 cm tall. This plant develops a broad, erect tuft consisting of odd pinnate, lanceolate, denticulate leaves. The inflorescences that resemble light, fluffy ears, appear in June and hold on until end of July. The blooming "Bressingham Beauty" false spirea, as it is commonly called, looks truly magnificent, almost royal. The fact, that it blooms abundantly on shady sites, too, is considered yet another great feature of this plant.

Rhizomes of this tremendous, easy-to-grow perennial should planted in spring in the moist soil rich in humus. Astilbes prefer waterlogged sites, are fully frost-resistant and feel best in the partial shade of tall plants, including trees. It is definitely worth growing them on pond edges, alongside shaded paths and in vicinity of fences and tall trees, where other flowering plants would not fare that well. This pink-orange variety can be combined with other astilbes in order to form harmonious or contrasting compositions. Our recommendations in that regard include the crimson-red "Burgundy Red", red "Feuer", pale pink "Erica", creamy-white "Brautschleier" and the clean white "Weisse Gloria".

One package contains 10 large and healthy rhizome sized 2/3. Plant growing instructions were included in the package information.
