The "Weisse Gloria" astilbe is a truly magnificent variety that produces stunning, creamy-white inflorescences. The perennial presented here develops dark green, shiny leaves that form beautiful background for the large, fluffy, ear-shaped inflorescences. The shape of the leaves and their denticulated edges only add to the high ornamental value of the plant. This variety belongs to the Arendsii cultivar group. Plants of this variety grow 60 -70 cm tall and wide. Blooming takes place in July and August. This astilbe develops a rather dense, compact habit with erect flowering stalks that do not require staking. Astilbe is a real beauty that would look great planted on a border edge, where you can admire its full potential. It is ideally suited for planting in vicinity of ponds and streams, yet it would thrive in containers adorning balconies and terraces, too. Soft, airy inflorescences may be cut and put into vases or dried. If you possess more space, we recommend to plant astilbe in groups of 3 to 5 seedlings. This would bring the most of these decorative perennials. Astilbe ideally fits into naturalistic arrangements and adds lightness to every garden it inhabits. It also harmonises well with all plants that share similar site and soil requirements.

Astilbe is a rather undemanding plant. It prefers slightly acidic, humous, moist, yet permeable soils. It is recommended, first and foremost, for partially shady sites. Abundant watering during hot summers, particularly in the flowering period, is absolutely necessary. The variety presented here tolerates low temperatures well and winters in the ground.
