BIO certified organic lentil (Lens culinaris) sprouting seeds combine excellent taste with above average nutritional value. Lentil sprouts is green, vitamin and mineral rich food at the top of the Superfoods list. Young stems contain valuable proteins, large quantities of fibre, B-vitamins with folic acid, as well as vitamins C, E, K and provitamin A. Iron, magnesium, phosphorus, kalium copper, zinc, molybdenum and selenium are also included. They taste equally great raw, fried or steamed.

Growing sprouts at home is quick and easy. You only need to soak the seeds in luke-warm water and place them on the strainer of the sprouter or in a jar, that you need to cover with gauze and turn upside down, enabling the water to drain. The container should be kept in a warm and light place that is, however, not directly exposed to sunlight. The key to success is regular rinsing of the cracking seeds (2 times daily is an absolute minimum). Well developed, tasty lentil sprouts are ready to be eaten within 4 to 5 days after cultivation start.

The BIO seeds available in our store come from organic seed farms that produce their seed material according to EU regulations. Parent plants from which the seeds are collected are cultivated in an environment-friendly manner, without the use of chemical control agents, nor artificial fertilizers. The seeds are also 100% GMO-free. Packaging of the seeds has also been manufactured with nature in mind - packaging material comes from PEFC-certified forests.

Each package contains 30 g of BIO lentil sprouting seeds. Sprout production instructions and the sow-by date have been printed at the back side of the package.
