If you own a rock garden and ponder on what to grow in it, choose the Cynthia botanical tulip that should convince you with the magnificent colouring of the flowers. The blooms are deep red in the inside, while the sharp pointed petals end with bright yellow edges. These tulips sit atop short stems that are surrounded by rather narrow - for tulips - leaves. The Cynthia variety usually grows 25 to 30 cm tall and blooms early in spring, in April.
The botanical tulips should be planted in autumn. Put the bulbs 6 to 8 cm deep and allow similar distances. Choose a sunny or only partially shady site with a fertile, humous, moderately moist and permeable soil. Do not forget to water the plants during the flowering period. The Cynthia variety presented here is frost resistant, hence can be left in the soil for the winter. We recommend to cover it with conifer twigs, though.
Each package contains 50 bulbs of the Cynthia botanical tulip sized 6 to 7 cm in circumference. The bulbs offered here are of Dutch origin and therefore delight with the highest quality.
