The botanical tulips constitute one of the most unique categories of these popular bulbous plants. They are usually low growing and develop star-shaped flowers that take on various colours. The flowering stalks are surrounded by the long, grass-like, dark green and linear leaves.

The bulbs offered here can be grown at home after prior overcooling! You will find the detailed instructions here.

This species grows best in a fertile, quickly warming up, moderately moist, permeable and rather light soil. It prefers sunny sites, although it will bloom in the shade, too. Plant the bulbs 6 to 8 cm deep and allow similar distances between the bulbs. You do not have to dig them out before the winter, but we recommend to cover the planting site with conifer twigs or the mulch. The botanical tulips perfectly fit into rock gardens, flower bed and path edgings and larger perennial groups on multi-species flower beds.

One package contains 250 bulbs of the low growing botanical tulips, sized 6/7 cm. The bulbs offered here are of Dutch origin and therefore delight with the highest quality. Choose our selection of botanical tulips and create a fairy-tale, colourful composition.
