Direct sow can be conducted any time in the spring. Seeds should be sown single. After germination the seedlings need to be thinned, leaving 3-5 cm spacings between them. Please remember that carrots like permeable, well cultivated soils - it does not grow too well on neither moist, nor too dry soil. Depending on the date of the sowing carrots yield crops from July until October.
