City Flower tulip is a low-growing bulbous flowering plant. It owes its unique beauty to the large bicolour flowers that appear atop strong, short stems. Leaves of this variety are broad and adorned with a distinct dark red or purple pattern of irregular lines and streaks. Shapely flower cups of this tulip combine a subdued shade of red in petal centres with a saturated yellow on the edges, creating a classic spring combination. City Flower belongs to Greigii group whose representatives are exceptionally resistant to harsh weather conditions. Due to its small size, the plant can be used to fill empty spots in rock gardens, on flower bed edges, and in mixed arrangements on lawns. It gives you an extra option of arranging balcony boxes and pots. City Flower tulip is easy to grow and maintain, even for garden beginners.

The soil for tulips should be thoroughly cultivated, fertile, and highly permeable to ensure the best possible development of these flowers. Autumn is the only time to plant tulip bulbs. Do not forget to loosen, weed, and enrich the soil with compost or other organic fertilizer before planting. We highly recommend planting bulbs in special plastic baskets. Put single bulbs ten to fifteen centimetres deep, and fifteen to twenty centimetres apart.

One package contains five bulbs of the City Flower tulip, sized 11/12 centimetres. Basic plant information and growing instructions were printed on the package label.
