Common yarrow Rood (Achillea millefolium) is a magnificent and extremely sturdy ornamental plant. The large, bright red inflorescences are great border decoration and attract butterflies to the garden. Tiny flowers are gathered in flat umbels that would adorn your garden all summer long. These plants grow 40 – 60 cm tall and spread rapidly, developing a dense, compact habit. This species fits into dry and sunny borders, rockeries and naturalistic gardens. You may compose bouquets out of the flower heads that also retain their colour after drying.

Rood common yarrow develops best and blooms exuberantly in the full sun, in permeable, moderately moist soil. You should avoid heavy, waterlogging soils rich in nutrients. Rhizomes should be planted in the spring. These plants survive frosts and winter well in the ground.

There is one piece of the red Rood common yarrow rootstock in each package. Essential growing instructions were included in the product information.
