Yarrow Tricolour is a very easy to grow, undemanding perennial. It forms compact tufts that shoot from rhizomes and produces umbel-shaped inflorescences that sit on tops of straight, stiff stems. A typical plant of this variety reaches height of sixty to eighty centimetres. Gray-green leaf colour and a fairly distinct, part herbal, part spicy scent are characteristic for this plant. Yarrow leaves are long, feathery, and subtle like lace. Thanks to them the plant does not overwhelm its surroundings. The foliage provides a great background for hundreds of tiny flowers gathered in umbels throughout the summer. You can easily recognize the Tricolour variety by red-tipped yellow petals. This small detail gives presented yarrow a phenomenal, dazzling appearance. The contrast of intensely coloured flowers and uniformly green foliage allows yarrow to stand out from even a very complex arrangement. You can use this plant in a variety of ways, as it fits into solitary and group growing. It is recommended for naturalistic plantings, rockeries, rustic arrangements, and pots. Yarrow supplies durable cut flowers that are suitable for drying.
Presented perennial species is undemanding and highly tolerant when it comes to growing conditions. It thrives in average, dry, well-drained, sandy, or sandy loam soils. Give yarrow a sunny, warm site. The plant cannot stand waterlogged and acidified ground.
Each package contains one rhizome of the Tricolour yarrow. Quick plant facts and a growing guide were printed on the packaging label.
