Bieberstein's crocus "Conqueror" is a tremendous variety that produces exceptionally large blooms. The lavender-blue cups with contrasting, orange pistils constitute a splendid garden ornament at an unusual time. This still relatively unknown variety deserves your attention.

The "Conqueror" variety develops stunningly large flowers that you definitely cannot miss. Blooming starts in October and lasts a month. This exceptional feature allows you to enjoy the beauty of the flowers at the time, where other blooms are long forgotten. The pastel colouring with a veining pattern pleases the eyes and looks great at the background of green foliage. Leaves of this particular variety do not stand out from other crocus varieties.

Rather low height – 10 to 12 cm – suggests planting this variety in rock gardens and on edgings. It looks great in rows alongside paths. They also fit under tree canopies as colourful carpet beddings. These plants provide an interesting solution for the autumn decoration of pots, boxes and containers. "Conqueror" crocuses that you allow to grow on one site for several years will form dense, large tufts.

Bulbs of the "Conqueror" crocus should be planted from September to November. Recommended planting depth is 6-8 cm and distances 10-15 cm, depending on the expected outcome. The soil needs to be permeable, humous and sufficiently moist.

The package contains 10 bulbs of the "Conqueror" crocus. Basic plant and growing information is printed on the package label.
