Crocuses, just like tulips and hyacinths, are the flagship spring bulbous flowers. These recognizable plants delight with the richness of forms. We introduce the Crocus tommasinianus variety. Crocus "Roseus" is an unusually coloured, true original among its relatives. It looks great both in single-species plantings and in combinations with other varieties.

Graceful, charming blooms look like if they consisted of two colours. A pink-lilac beauty grows from each bulb on the slender perianth tube. The outer petals take on an interesting, metallic, silvery shimmer. This together creates an attractive game of colours. Crocus flower heads spread their petals broadly on sunny days, showing the contrasting pistil and stamina. Tiny, linear leaves with a pale stripe in the middle surround the flowers.

Small, 8-10 cm tall crocuses should be put on display in rock gardens, on the front of borders, in rows alongside paths. These plants, that bloom in March, constitute a natural ornament of the lawns. They are also perfect for planting in pots on bright balconies and creation of intriguing arrangements in containers, bowls and baskets.

Small bulbs should be planted from September to November. They require a moderately moist, permeable soil in the sun or partial shade. These are easy to grow and highly decorative plants.

The package contains 10 bulbs of the "Roseus" crocus. Basic plant and growing information is printed on the package label.
