The Café au Lait Twist dahlia is a luxurious variety with stunning bicolour flowers. This tall dahlia that produces huge, plate-shaped flowers allows you to decorate a late summer garden that could already be lacking colour. Presented Café au Lait Twist variety produces bright, creamy-white flowers, dotted with irregular raspberry pink stripes. Flat or slightly outstretching flowers contrast to a magnificent effect with the compound, dentate leaves. The about 100-centimetres tall dahlia will amaze in any garden. Profusely blooming from July to autumn, presented dahlia is suitable for planting solitary and in arrangements with other flowers or plants with decorative foliage.

Dahlias thrive in full sun. It is necessary for proper development of the plant itself and its most beautifully coloured flowers. We recommend choosing wind-sheltered sites due to the high height and fragility of the stems. This plant requires neutral or slightly alkaline soil, that is rich in nutrients, permeable, and constantly slightly moist. Plant tubers from April to June every 50 to 60 centimetres, at a depth of about 5 to 10 centimetres. Dahlias require watering during periods of drought and fertilization with manure, compost or mineral fertilizers. It is recommended to remove faded flowers, to let the plant save energy to produce new flower buds. Dahlia tubers cannot winter in the ground and have to be dug out in autumn. Trim the stems first, and then gently excavate tubers. Put them into boxes, and store in a dry room where temperature remains stable within the 2 to 4⁰C range. Cover tubers with sand or peat for additional protection during storage.
