The Edinburgh dahlia (Dahlia) meets all requirements that you could have in regard to the stand-alone plants: it is vigorous, has a compact appearance and nice bright green leaves - and above all - exuberant, huge, intriguingly coloured flowers. Proposed variety originates from the decorative dahlias' group what means that it produces double inflorescences consisting of rounded petals that slightly bend inward and are packed in dense whorls. These crimson red petals come with snow white edges what makes them look as if they were coated with sugar. This magnificent perennial blooms abundantly in July and dies off only after the first frost in October.

Dahlia rootstock should be planted in spring on a warm, sunny or only partially shaded, situation. The soil should be moist and fertile, rich in humus, and permeable. Presented variety can grow alone or in larger groups with other double-flowered dahlias that are related to it. It can also provide a wonderful background for such annuals as the subtle goosefoot, airy asters, or the lavish zinnias. Dig up the rootstock in autumn and store in a cool basement until the next planting in spring.

A single package contains 50 large and healthy rootstocks of the Edinburgh dahlia. You will find the essential plant growing instructions on every package.
