The Embassy dahlia is elegance personified. This vigorous, tall, profusely blooming plant with beautiful, dark flowers leaves no-one indifferent. Presented variety should grow at showcase locations where everyone can admire their beauty. The unique feature of this dahlia is the unusual distribution of colours on the petals. Dark burgundy at the surface, they sport a silvery-white underside. Thanks to the colour contrast, the shape of the flowers becomes even more visible. Dozens of curling petals and forming thin needles, are arranged in even whorls giving this dahlia noble, unique charm. The Embassy dahlia is a true miracle of nature. This impressive dahlia, reaching almost 110 centimetres in height, and forming dense tufts, looks great at a flowerbed with other plants and planted solitary. Embassy dahlia's bicolour flowers are ideal for bouquets that retain their attractive appearance for a long time.

Dahlia does not have any special cultivation requirements, the species is not considered difficult to grow. The optimal situation for this flowering plant should be sunny, with well-cultivated, light soil. Make sure that it is sheltered from the wind that could damage fragile. Dahlia requires moderate watering and regular fertilization.

Plant dahlias in the garden after the last frost, from the end of April to the end of May. Tubers should germinate 10 to 14 days after planting. Prepare about 40 centimetres deep holes and fill them with a light, permeable, soil. In case of lower-quality soil, mix it with ready universal plant soil or add a substantial dab of compost. Plant tubers shallowly, only five to seven centimetres deep. Press the soil gently and water tubers abundantly. Keep single tubers about 40 centimetres apart in case of taller dahlia, like this one. Dahlias cannot winter in the ground, you must dig out the tubers after the first frost in autumn. Clean them gently, dry, and store in a dry room with a stable temperature of several degrees Celsius above zero.

Each package contains one first choice dahlia seedling of the Embassy variety. Look for basic plant facts and growing tips on the package label.
