The Dallas tulip looks great at every flower bed and in any larger pot. The beautiful pink petals fringed with a denticulated, lighter edge belong to its most prominent features. It is a tulip that brings the spring mood to the garden thanks to its magnificent, ovate flowers. They develop on the exceptionally strong, stiff stems, what makes them stand out at most elegant locations. Dallas tulips bloom late, but long - the flowers maintain their attractive looks for up to two weeks. The forty to fifty centimetres tall plants constitute a wonderful decoration of borders, flower beds, and can be used as cut flower in bouquets.
Tulips thrive in full sun and in rich, humous, aerated, and permeable soil. You need to prepare the site according to the needs of tulips to achieve success in their cultivation. To begin with, carefully remove weeds and stones, loosen the soil thoroughly, and then add compost or a slow-release mineral fertilizer. Keep the soil continually moderately moist after planting. Cover tulip sites with a layer of mulch or conifer twigs before the winter. This will protect them from frost and also give them a head start in spring. Tulips belong to undemanding plants. They do not need any special care so everyone can grow them successfully.
One package contains five bulbs of the Dallas tulip, sized 11/12 centimetres. Basic plant information and growing instructions were printed on the package label.
