The yellow-flowered “Davidson” crocosmia (Crocosmia x crocosmiiflora), whose bulbs are available here in large 100-piece packages, may be considered one of the most valued montbretia varieties. Clear, light, vividly sunny colour of its subtle blooms harmonises adorably with the bright green foliage. ”Davidson” crocosmia is famous for its abundant blooming. It develops the flowering stalks from the middle of the summer to early autumn. These stems are straight, slander and sprout from the dense bush of erect, narrow, spiky leaves. The upper parts of the stalks are covered with regular rows of magnificent, funnel-shaped flowers that you may cut and put into vases.

Spring is the optimal time to plant bulbs of the “Davidson” crocosmia. This plant is not frost-resistant in Central European weather conditions. It may winter in the ground, covered with fleece, in warmer regions yet we recommend excavating the bulbs before first frosts. The perennial offered here in our garden store loves the sun yet also feels good in partial shade. The soil should be permeable, fertile, and rich in humus. Dense, abundant crocosmia tufts look great as feature and in company of other perennials on lawns and borders. You may also grow them in pots and planters.

One package contains 100 bulbs sized 6/7 centimetres in circumference. Plant growing instructions were included in the package information.
