Canary Creeper, also known as the Canary Bird Vine, is an annual vine with relatively little, yet superbly decorative fimbriated flowers in several gorgeous shades of yellow. Originating in Peru and Ecuador, this variety flowers from July all the way up to late autumn. Its magnificent shoots, which can be used as a decoration on their own, can grow up to 4 metres in length. Canary Creeper is an excellent plant to cascade over fences, balconies or arbours.
Growing: sow the seeds under cover in April or directly into the soil in May. Grow the plants in 40-50cm spacings; they love fertile sandy-clay soils and prefer sunny positions. Each gram contains around 15 seeds.
