The Berrylicious daylily (Hemerocallis hybrida) is a beautiful variety that produces extremely large and dark blooms that should be introduced to gardens of all lovers of this species. Dark red blooms are decorated with a purple eye and a wavy petal edges. The bright yellow calyx only adds to their charm. These plants grow up to 60 cm tall. They develop broad tufts that consist of long, spiky leaves and stiff stalks crowned with the flowers. Berrylicious daylily blooms in July and August. Daylilies look absolutely stunning planted in groupings on borders, lawns or alongside paths and fences.

You should plant daylilies directly onto the field in spring or autumn. They grow extremely well on sunny sites. Planting in partial shade would significantly impair their blooming. Daylilies prefer moisture–retaining soils rich in nutrients and humus. We recommend to enrich earth with mineral fertilizer of compost. The Berrylicious daylily is frost–resistant.
