The salmon-pink flowered double begonia (Begonia x tuberhybrida) is a truly unique variety. It looks like an elegant lady on the background of other double begonias in more vivid colours. Its large petals that take on a stylish salmon-pink colour harmonize well with dark green foliage. The entire plant presents a compact growth form that is typical for this species. Its large, semi-spherical flowers develop all summer long, from June to September. Charming begonia tufts that are only 30 centimetres tall can be planted on flower bed edgings or in broad stripes at the front of the borders. It is also worth growing them in planters and hanging baskets, e.g. in colourful arrangements with a fuchsia, godetia, and lobelia.
Plant tubers in permeable, moist, humous soil. Drainage is the key when growing begonias in pots - use expanded clay aggregate or coarse gravel for that purpose. Begonia thrives in partial shade, as sunlight quickly dries it and shortens its flowering period. You can plant begonias on flower beds and in planters all spring long.
One package contains 20 pcs of salmon-pink double begonia tubers sized 6/+ cm. Essential growing instructions have been printed on each package.
