Daffodil "Flower Surprise" (Narcissus) ranks high among new varieties that produce double flowers. This unusual hybrid cultivar produces blooms that reach up to 13 cm in diameter and consist of three verticils of tepals. The large coronas of the "Flower Surprise" are frizzled and ornamentally dentate, making the blooms look like large pom-poms. The intriguing, orange-pink colour of the tepals and corona assure this presented variety a place among the most exciting spring perennials.

Narcissi bulbs should be planted in autumn onto light, permeable and humous soil that does not waterlog. The site could be either sunny or partially shady at some point of the day. Splendid "Flower Surprise" daffodils bloom in the second half of April and ideally fit into different spring border arrangements. You may plant it together with other double varieties - "Ascot", "Eastertide", "Flower Parade" - or combine with hyacinths, crown imperial or tall tulips.
