Jonquil – rush daffodil – Sweetness (Narcissus jonquilla) is a charming variety producing sweet scented, canary–yellow blooms that appear in large numbers in April. The golden jonquils belong to the most coveted narcissus cultivars not only because of the pleasant scent of the blooms and their enchanting appearance (regularly shaped, broad, rounded sepals and short corolla scales, but also due to the symbolic meaning. They are considered the most characteristic spring flowers and a bouquet of sunny jonquils forms the most beautiful decoration of the Easter table. Rush daffodil Sweetness is also indispensable at the borders – just a few specimens planted together would form a dense tuft of narrow, erect stems and leaves that reach 40–60 cm in height and are crowned with dozens of charming blooms.

Narcissus bulbs should be planted all autumn long in a well drained, permeable , fertile soil that is rich in humus and shows neutral reaction. These plants like full exposure to the sun or partial shade. They winter in the ground for years, growing abundantly season after season.
