The Double Ellen Pink Lenten rose (Helleborus orientalis) is a tuft perennial that grows about 40 centimetres tall. This unusual plant produces a large number of impressive, light pink, double flowers already in February. Subtle petals form frills around the fluffy centres that consist of many anthers. The delicate flower colour of the presented variety wonderfully contrasts with the dark green, leathery leaves that adorn the garden all season long. Lenten rose evokes admiration - its magnificent flowers often emerge from snow. This plant looks great planted alone and in larger groups. It adds unmatched ornamental value to shady flower beds and natural plantings. The poisonous Lenten rose, a member of the Helleborus family, looks great in a vase, where it will please the eye for a long time. You can also grow it in a pot on the balcony, provided that the chosen planter is deep enough.

The species offered here prefers partial shade and spots under larger plants, including shrubs and trees. Sites that are sheltered from wind, fertile, moderately moist soil that is rich in calc suit Lenten rose bet. We recommend to enrich the soil with compost. Mulching with bark and appropriate watering, particularly during the hot summer months is also important. We recommend to fertilize Lenten rose with long-lasting fertilizers.

We hereby offer one seedling of the Double Ellen Pink Lenten rose. Basic plant information and growing tips were printed on the packaging label.
