The double tulip selection - Double mix - encompasses the most beautiful colours enclosed in large, multi-petal cups. Many gardeners call varieties belonging to this group "peony tulips" as they resemble unfolded peony blooms. They appear in a wide variety of colours and tower over the ground on strong, forty to sixty centimetres tall stems. Double tulips flower from mid-April to mid-May. A warm, sunny weather allows them to remain attractive for up to three weeks. The stunning, colourful flowers constitute a sensational addition to spring beds and pots. Florists value them as cut flowers that allow them to design magnificent decorations. Double tulips, cut midway the stem, will effectively decorate the interior of a house or become a nice gift for a loved one.

Tulips have low cultivation requirements. They only need sunlight and a well-drained soil to grow healthy. Still, they prefer soils that are rich in nutrients, preferably fertilized with compost or manure. Tulip bulbs can remain in the ground at the same site for several seasons. Still, as the flowering power weakens with time, we recommend digging bulbs out every year and transplanting them in autumn to a new place. Growing tulips is easy and does not require much effort, enabling every plant enthusiast to enjoy their beauty.

One package contains five bulbs of the double tulip selection, sized 11/12 centimetres. Basic plant information and growing instructions were printed on the package label.
