Double–flowered Siberian iris Concord Crush (Iris sibirica) is a slender and elegant plant. It develops grassy tufts of pale green leaves that grow up to 70 cm tall. The Concord Crush cultivar stands out with large, multi–petal blooms that take on an intensely blue colouring. The start to bloom at the end of May already and continue to appear until August. Siberian iris is perfectly suited for cultivation next to water reservoirs and on moist, often watered borders. Planted in larger groupings it forms beautiful meadows sprinkled abundantly with flowers.

Middle of spring and early autumn is the best time to plant Siberian irises. Their rhizomes should be planted in the fully sun, but need a moist, yet not waterlogging soil. Permeable, sandy–clay soil with neutral or slightly acidic reaction would work best. These plants show high nutritional requirements, hence it is advised to enrich the ground with compost or manure. Siberian iris Concord Crush is totally frost–resistant.
