"Etna F1" tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum) belongs to early dwarf varieties. It stands out with reliable, high quality crops in even unfavourable conditions, such as drought or cold. The fruit take on round, sometimes slightly flattened shape and do not develop greenback. They weigh 75 - 100 g, are bright red and do not tend to break, hence survive transport well. "Etna F1" variety is suited for processing and direct consumption.

Tomato is a thermophilic plant and therefore is grown from seedlings prepared in a warm room. Commence with this activity already in March or April, so you could transplant the seedlings to the field in the second half of May, after the so called "Ice Saints". Seeds of the "Etna F1" tomato may be sown directly to the soil, yet no earlier than in May. The fruit ripen gradually from July to October. Choose sunny and sheltered sites for tomato culture. This vegetable is rather undemanding when it comes to soil type, it is important that the plants have steady access to nutrients and water.
